Robbin' the 'Hood
A muslim brings intersectionality and socialism to our most important financial center thanks to our immigrant class and Gen Z who voted for prom king
Well, I was always afraid of this but now it’s here. New York was literally stupid enough to vote for Zohran Mamdani.
There are lots of hot takes all the way from anger at the stupid, ineffective Republican party to ‘the energy’ (read, money) that Mamdani’s campaign put out. I’ve seen different takes about the actual voter turnout as well. Some people say only 3 million people voted which, out of a city of 9 million, isn’t a huge turnout. I haven’t seen any official numbers, but suffice it to say, because Soros and out of state mega-donors backed this turd in the financial punchbowl, it wouldn’t matter. If cheating happened, it wouldn’t matter. If anything untoward happened like two different incidents in Pennsylvania for that election where third party registrants were removed from poll books, it wouldn’t matter. The forces that got him there have been in the works for a long time.
And then there’s the opposition. Is there really a conservative or republican opposition in New York City? The ineffective Republican response aside, just because someone hands you a gun doesn’t mean you have to put it in your mouth and pull the trigger.
From what I’ve seen on socials the entire country has big pockets of people who are calling New Yorkers idiots. They’re saying they’ll get everything they’ve voted for. This is a 32-year old man who has never had a job in anything, not even politics. And he’s going to run our most important financial center. What could possibly go wrong? We can only hope that the lawmakers in Albany will grow some of that uber tough New York spine and spend the next four years saying, ‘NO’! But if Soros has a gun to their backs, maybe not.
No, the real answer to his victory is more nuanced. The answer to how we got here has more to do with the intersection of three major things we let happen.
The first is the obvious - illegal immigrant voting and terrible state election rules. Illegals voted because they were given social security numbers, a place to live and free food by the previous administration - courtesy of your tax dollars. This happened all over the nation. And New York was one of the biggest places it occurred. From all those benefits it’s a short step to a driver’s license and the ability to vote since lax state registration and ID laws have turned voting from being a privilege into being a right simply by standing on US soil. Hell, come here from Turkey on vacation during an election year and vote for your favorite candidate!
That’s how bad it’s gotten - especially in blue states.
The second is obvious but more nuanced because it took years to happen. And that is the capture of the educational system. We have forgotten to teach our children about the havoc that socialism ( or another way to think about it - communism that takes its time) has wreaked all over the world. Socialism, the party of envy and greed, takes productive people and forces them to produce for unproductive people. We have let the radical agenda of the most socialist of all unions, the teacher’s union, teach our kids drivel. Things like whether they are a girl or a boy. Or ‘new’ math which is so complicated, not even smart kids use it. Or dropping basics like phonics and cursive from early education. Failing to teach these simple things, deprived kids from developing discipline and skills.
Now move on to the university system where Marxist professors take Americans’ hard earned dollars in the form of ridiculous tuitions and teach the kids to hate their country, teach them history that never occurred or, worse yet, don’t teach them history that did occur. And finally, teach them not to think but to repeat what the professor has claimed is ‘the truth’. If you asked 100 new graduates from Harvard, “Who was Alexandr Solzhenitsyn?”, I wonder how many of them would have even a general answer. Or Pol Pot or Mao? The fact that they are running around with keffiyahs and hammer and sickle red flags tells you all you need to know. And they were a big block that voted for him.
Finally, these ‘educated’ youth have not been allowed either to struggle or to fail. Empathy is all that matters. They were given so much reinforcement of literally everything they wanted to do at any time for any reason, that they didn’t understand a society that wouldn’t reward them immediately for every little need. And these same kids hit The Big City and wanted it all to be easy. I’ve lived in New York. From the creeps on the crowded commuter runs in the morning grabbing your backside while you’re helplessly smashed against tons of other people, to the smell of urine, garbage and rats, to the low wages because if you quit your job there are literally thousands who can take your place, New York doesn’t care.
And the young people need New York to care. They need their own Donald Trump. The irony is, Mamdani models himself on the Man They Most Hate. The problem is, the radical left knows that’s a space they can get a foothold and voila! Socialism lite…at least at first.
Here’s the catch…you don’t have to live in New York. I tried for a year. I couldn’t make ends meet. I left for a less cool place, better money and cheaper cost of living.
Our son lives in New York. He told us Mamdani checks all the intersectional boxes. “He’s a muslim!” Isn’t that exciting?! He’s also young! For people who were told that they were the center of the universe, being young doesn’t have a downside. They’re always right because they have feelings. They never developed the ability to critically think and can’t imagine that youth and energy will lead you to alot of dumb places. They totally reject the fact that experience and patience makes for maturity and disciplined decisions. They don’t even remotely understand that immutable characteristics and a different religion are not qualifications for running the largest city in the United States.
The radical leftists, the illegal immigrants, the muslim population and the big funders like Soros know these young minds have been captured. And they’ve made their successful play for what used to be our most meritocratic city.
As a result of these three forces coming together, don’t be surprised if, like London, in 5 years you’ll hear call to prayer in parts of New York.
For our leftist youth and crazy liberal white women who hated Christianity and its moralistic followers, just wait. It’ll happen slowly kind of like the garbage and the crime did. It’ll happen so slowly, they won’t see it. And by the time they notice it, it will be too late.
God Save New York City.

I've seen several social interviews of people on the streets of NYC. Most of the people interviewed are young women. When asked why they voted for Mamdani, they say some of the same things you wrote about: He's young. He was on TikTok. He's exciting to watch. He's going to lower rent. He hates Trump. etc.
What's scary is that none of the young people interviewed have knowledge of socialism, communism, taxation, the power limits of the NYC mayor, or more. The ignorance is horrific.
Exceptional narrative. Thank you. I am an X New York person. Born there. Brooklyn. 1942. Parents relocated to Westchester County Irvington on the Hudson after WWII in 1946. I returned in 1968 after college and the USMC and surviving the Vietnam debacle. Employment in NYC for three years followed by grad school. Departure in 1973. For good. It was odiferous even then. Have never looked back. NYS is incapable of rescuing NYC. Very dark days ahead.
